Hello thank you for checking out my website. I have been teaching and performing music for over 20 years. Music is my bread and butter. Everyday is music, instructing, playing in bands, recording, performing out. I feel very blessed. Here’s a little history on my journey…

I began playing and performing music at a very young age. I started out on piano and clarinet as kid performing in my church band through my teens and into college.

When I graduated high School from Humanities and Sciences Institute I received a music scholarship to Phoenix Community College. In college I continued my studies in piano and started playing guitar. I took many private lessons from local legends in the jazz and rock scene.

I studied everything from music theory, electronic music, recording, music composition, music history and even performed in the the college Pep Band during football games. I graduated with an AA in Music Performance in Piano and Guitar

I began teaching privately at the local community center while in college and after graduating I was offered an instructor position at the Tempe School for the Arts teaching classes on beginning through advance guitar.

I greatly appreciated the opportunity but after a year I decided I preferred the one-on-one interaction that private instruction offered.

I went back to college at MCC and studied Jazz for two years. Boy did it kick my butt, but it was so worth it! It really opened up my mind to different musical concepts and theory. I studied with quite a few amazing jazz musicians.

Over the past 20 years I’ve found some great mom and pop music stores teaching private instruction in guitar, ukulele, bass, drums and piano.

With all of these talented players I also began putting student rock bands together and we performed all over the valley. At one point I was rehearsing 8 student bands. It was hectic but so much fun!

I still study and strive to reach the next level. It’s a life long journey. And I hope you will join me! Click on this link to hear from my students!
